You have stumbled upon the modest site of Amy Dupcak [dupe-check].
"Alternative Amy" is my alter-ego for reviewing all things rock at Beyond Race Magazine, where I act as the Features Editor and have been a contributing writer for over 3 years. Incidentally, I was also called "Alternative Amy," totally separately, by a co-worker at Kim's Video on Saint Marks Place, where I sold films and records for a year. It must be the Docs.
I created this website with the intention of sharing my journalistic articles and music reviews (published in print and online for BRM), and more personal writing, as well as photographs, videos, and other projects. I wanted an online space to display some of my work as well as continually post freshly written reviews and articles that are generally within the vein of "alternative" culture. If you have any comments or suggestions, I would love to hear them. And don't forget to check out the Links page for the many bands and artists I know and adore.
